Viewing the site has more detailed directions, and other neat stuff. I am always amazed at the creativity presented.


This is slick. A background sheet of paper placed on the kitchen stove with the range hood light turned on. A tripod and a camera set on automatic. Ideal for photos of small items such as jewellery, yarn, mittens etc.

What I like about this quick setup is that you can change the background very quickly. Use a towel for texture , a length of suede or leather, a piece of sheepskin for variety.

Some photographers may change the light bulb in range hood for special effects.

Of course, make sure the stove is not HOT. Who needs the inconvenience of a fire and lose the stash.
