The Carolina’s Machine Knitting Guild hosted a seminar for machine knitters. Some of the attendees were newbies, others returning to the craft and the some of us are vintage machine knitters.
The seminar was located at the Church grounds among towering Pines. A very pleasant location for a knitting retreat.
Some inspiration. Thread lace in high contrast colours with the trim a sewn on strip of purchased beading.
One of the attendees wearing her delightful shawlette using I-cord construction. Fully constructed on the knitting machine using Bernats Handicrafter crochet Yarn. The variegations were beautifully dispersed throughout the piece.
A visit to the Bernina World of Sewing, in the Oak Park Shopping Center, on Glenwood Ave, Raleigh had organized a Quilt crawl with 15 Quilting businesses participating. One of the Quilters was presenting a trunk show of her bags.
This was one of many quilt artworks displayed. The store is quilters’ heaven with more than 4000 bolts of fabric.
The ladies mentioned that they host a knitting group in the store even though the store doesn’t carry knitting supplies.
