The kit comes supplied with rug yarn in very bright colours. I’m using them to get the feeling of using the loom. The fork in the picture is used to pack the weaving down between rows of inserting another strand of yarn. The most difficult part is keeping the edges from bowing in towards the centre and keeping a straight edge.
I can see great potential for creativity using a wide range of yarns for smaller accent pieces.
The loom is from Harrisville Designs, Harrisville, New Hampshire. I believe it is available direct from their website or Amazon and other retailers.
My finished project was turned into a cover for my business calculator on my desk. Cheerful and purposeful.
