slight slub, 2 colours of yarn.,
Needle. 5.5 mm,
Adult size, knitted flat.
Weighs 40 gm.
PATTERNING
*K1 row.
K1, slip 1, repeat across the row
K1 row
K2.slip1, repeat across the row.*
Repeat *. ……* X2 repeats. (8 rows)
Change colour
Knit 1 row,
Purl 1 row
Repeat this 10 row sequence X4 times
CAST ON…………..
enough stitches that will go around the head, approx 20 inches /52 cm
(mine was 72 stitches)
Knit 8 rows stockinette. (Knit 1 row, purl 1 row)
BODY PATTERNING ……………..
(PURL side FACING, begin Patterning.)
Knit 4 repeats, (10 row in each repeat, 8 rows colour A, 2 rows colour B)
Crown: Begin to decrease the number of stitches using any chosen method over the next 6 rows. Gather remaining 10 or so stitches , secure and seam side edge.
NOTE: Knitters have personal choices when it comes to knitting crowns.
