Recently, I acquired a pre-owned Studio/Silver-Reed Punchcard
machine, Model 360. The yarn is one that I have not used before.
FINISHED SIZE: 17″ X 65″
YARN: Bramwell Duomagic. 120 gm weight of scarf/shawl
PATTERNING: Tuck stitch, Studio/Silver-Reed, Card 11
STITCH DIAL; 5
METHOD: Cast-on 100 stitches, (50-0-50)
Knit 4 rows stockinette
Insert card and Program the automatic patterning by doing 2 free passes with the carriage over the needles to program the patterning drums. Set dial to TUCK stitch. Release patterning device to rotate. (the triangle symbol)
Knit 720 rows (or so) in pattern.
Stop card (circle) and return dial to Stockinette setting.
Knit 4 rows stockinette and cast off.
TRIM: Duffys’ cable over 3 stitches and 10 rows. repeat across the bottom and top ends x 2.
BLOCKING: steam blocking. It does alter the fabric to make it lie flat.
