Vintage yarn , use it or toss it?

What is vintage yarn to one knitter may be unused “stash” to another. Oh, how we love our fibres and how quickly the time passes when working with yarn……………….

I find that cotton seems to dry out and acrylics turn brittle. Wool seems to have more longevity as long as the moths don’t find it.

Here is a vintage cotton yarn (Italian) that I crocheted into a scarf. The yarn was fun to work with, but definitely is a handknit/crochet yarn.

Cotton 67%, 33% acrylic, 40m/50 gm.  Total weight of scarf 250gm., Length 5 ft.x 8″.
